Mattersmith Studio is a free plugin that lets users design, quote, and order directly in SketchUp.
Why SketchUp?
SketchUp is very affordable and easy to learn. It's widely used by architects and builders.
Can I use Mattersmith on AutoCAD and Revit projects?
Indirectly, yes. You can import and export DWG, and RVT files in SketchUp.
How do I get a catalog into Mattersmith?
We work with you to build your cabinet library to your standards.
Can I import cabinets from other programs into Mattersmith?
No, but if you have an existing cabinet library it can speed up development of a Mattersmith catalog.
How long does it take to develop a cabinet catalog?
A cabinet catalog takes four to eight weeks, depending on scope and configuration complexity.
How do I manage updates to my product catalogs?
You can create new catalog versions whenever you need. Old catalog versions are always preserved.
What data does Mattersmith export?
The system generates CSV, DXF, and XML data for BOMs, CNC programs, labels, and custom reports.
Can Mattersmith work with my CAM software?
Yes. We have integrations with Ardis, BlueCell, CADCode, and CutRite, and can add more integrations as needed.
Can Mattersmith integrate with accounting, production, and warehouse information systems?
Yes, Mattersmith can integrate with ERP, MES and WMS systems.
Can I integrate Mattersmith with my own order entry and room planning applications?
Yes. Our SDK, APIs, and Webhooks let developers integrate Mattersmith inside their web applications.

How do I know what product configurations are available?
Our system only lets you order valid product configurations. If you can configure it, you can order it with confidence.
What version of SketchUp do I need to use Mattersmith Studio?
Mattersmith Studio runs in SketchUp Pro, which runs on both Windows and MacOS.
Can I use Mattersmith Studio without a manufacturer catalog?
Yes, our standard cabinet catalog is free to use but you will not be able to quote or order from manufacturers. Let us know if there are manufacturers you would like us to support.
Can I use Mattersmith without using design software?
Yes, you can configure, quote, and order in Mattersmith's Web Orders in your browser.
