Mattersmith is for manufacturers of cabinetry, closets, furniture, fixtures, and components.  Our system is ideal for customized and stock products. It is not suitable for custom millwork.

Does Mattersmith work in AutoCAD or Revit?

Not directly, but designers can import AutoCAD, Revit, and PDF files into SketchUp.

How do I get a catalog into Mattersmith?

 

We can tailor our cabinet library to your standards, or work with you to develop a fully custom catalog.

Can I import cabinets from other programs into Mattersmith?

 

No, but if you have an existing cabinet library it can speed up development of a Mattersmith catalog. ​

How long does it take to develop a cabinet catalog?

 

A typical cabinet catalog takes about four weeks. Custom catalogs will depend on scope and complexity.​

 

How do I manage updates to my product catalogs?

 

You can update catalogs whenever you need, so your customers always have access to the correct product specs and pricing—no outdated information. Old catalog versions are always preserved.

What production data does Mattersmith generate?

The system generates data for machining, edgebanding, and labels, as well as complete engineering BOMs for manufactured and purchased parts. 

​

What CAM software does Mattersmith work with?

 

Our system works with Ardis, BlueCell, CADCode, CutRite, and any program that imports 3D DXF files.

Can Mattersmith integrate with my accounting, production, and warehouse information systems?

Yes, our XML and CSV data can import into ERP, MES, and WMS applications.  Our customers have integrated Mattersmith with Acumatica, Odoo, Oracle, and others.​

Can I integrate Mattersmith with my own order entry and room planning applications?

Yes. Our SDK lets you integrate Mattersmith with custom web applications and websites.

How do I know what product configurations are available?

 

Mattersmith only lets you order valid product configurations. If you can configure it, you can order it with confidence. No more back and forth with manufacturers to figure out what's available and what it costs.

What version of SketchUp do I need to use Mattersmith Studio?

Mattersmith Studio runs in SketchUp Pro 2024 or later, both Windows and Mac.

Can I use Mattersmith Studio without a manufacturer catalog?

Yes, you can use our standard catalogs but you will not be able to quote or order from manufacturers.

 

Can I order using Mattersmith if I’m using 20/20 or not any using design software at all?

 

Yes, you can configure, quote, and order directly in Mattersmith's web app.

Email support is included in your subscription, and live online support is provided when required.  We also provide paid training tailored to the needs of your organization.
