Our Journey
Our story started in a cabinet shop in the 1990s where Peter learned first-hand how the software for cabinet manufacturers actually made them less productive. Programs were expensive, labor-intensive and error-prone, often ending up sitting on a shelf.

Peter partnered with a developer to build the software he envisioned, incorporating it with SketchUp. But a year later, Google acquired SketchUp, and their startup with it. The vision for cabinet software was left unresolved—absorbed into a general design tool.

Ten years later, he realized the problem hadn't changed: data silos were still slowing down the industry. So we built Mattersmith. Our Common Data Environment eliminates those silos to help companies operate faster and more profitably.
